CruzTalks Ep.#15 -Army Education Benefits On Chopping Block??
Wednesday Apr 17, 2024
Wednesday Apr 17, 2024
In this urgent episode of our podcast, we delve into a matter of critical importance for service members: the possibility of the Army lowering its education benefits, particularly regarding credentialing assistance and tuition assistance. As an advocate for military personnel and their families, this episode addresses the potential ramifications of such changes and what it means for service members seeking educational opportunities. Recent discussions within the Army leadership suggest the potential for a reduction in available funding for education benefits. Specifically, programs like credentialing assistance and tuition assistance could see significant limitations, affecting service members' ability to pursue further education and career advancement. I shed light on the proposed changes and explores their potential impact on service members' access to educational resources. We discuss the importance of these benefits for personal and professional development and how any reduction could hinder the educational aspirations of those serving in the Army. Furthermore, we examine how these changes might affect active-duty service members, as the available funding could be restricted solely to programs designated for their use. This shift in policy raises concerns about equitable access to educational opportunities across the Army ranks. I believe it is essential to raise awareness and initiate discussions around these proposed changes. We encourage service members, veterans, and their supporters to stay informed and engaged in advocating for robust education benefits within the military. Join us for this crucial conversation as we explore the potential implications of the Army's proposed changes to education benefits. Your voice matters, and together, we can ensure that service members have the support they need to pursue their educational goals and thrive in their careers. Please subscribe to our podcast channel, like this episode, and share it with your networks to spread awareness about this important issue. We welcome your comments and feedback below as we continue to advocate for the educational rights of our service members. CruzTalks Ep.#14 - Which One Is It???
Friday Feb 23, 2024
Friday Feb 23, 2024
In this episode, we get into the topic of understanding the issues that Veterans have to deal with. The acknowledgement of being thanked for volunteering to serve in this nations military, or is it the fact that most people could care less about the veterans that have served. We speak on the issues of change, that are upcoming or are trying to be implemented that will affect servicemembers past, present and future. The changes give a sour taste for veterans and some try to navigate differentiating if Veterans are being thanked or giving the F U, cause of there service. It is understanding that sometimes the VA does things that complicate the issue. The government also does things that questions the validity of actually assisting Veterans. Some are beneficial and others are not. As spoken and covered before in previous episodes where a lot of information is being changed, left out, or entirely omitted from what Veterans deal with or are going through. Veterans are left wondering and need to prepare the next generation for this uphill battle with Veterans Claims. As these changes will affect the past, present, and future Veterans.

CruzTalks Ep. #13 - Get The Word Out
Wednesday Jan 24, 2024
Wednesday Jan 24, 2024
We have to make sure we are getting the word out to Active Duty, Veterans, National Guard and Reserve components. This is something that they did not know that they signed up for but its something that they need to be notified about and something that they need to make sure they know their gameplan before it becomes an issue and before it becomes a headache. Being a veteran is an honor than few in this country get to experience but at the same time it comes with it's sacrifices. It's time to assist those whether they are just beginning or have been on this journey.

CruzTalks Ep. #12 - University Final Kansas State Edition; Veteran Participation
Wednesday Jan 10, 2024
Wednesday Jan 10, 2024
In this episode, we complete the final project for one of my Graduate Studies courses for the Masters in Public Administration from Kansas State University. This episode was recorded with the final in mind but also continuing our effort to bring more awareness and information to Veterans across the country. We talk about both Veteran Affairs Committees from the House of Representatives and also the Senate. We take a quick look at a few laws and bills that have been proposed and also made into law that have assisted veterans. Many of the bills that have been passed are related to name changes of facilities and clinics across the country. Those name changes in order to recognize a servicemember for a heroic act or a significant effect that they had while serving. We speak on the members which currently hold the chairman position and also the break down of the members. We speak on the topic which many veterans have to deal with. Stories that make nationwide news which are usually in a negative light. Those being the Horrors and the failures of dealing with the VA or Veterans Affairs. We also shed light on the often-misunderstood Compensation and Pension (C&P) exam and the issues that sometimes arise when having those examinations. Reports and Hearings are one way that light is shed on the information that is being researched and also on the findings of reports and investigations. These findings contain information that benefits veterans but like mentioned before, they don't receive that information in order to become more aware of the possible changes and work that is being done to assist veterans. This will be one of many episodes that will begin covering the situation with the Veteran Affairs Administrations, The Committees in congress and also, the finding and reports that can be highlighted. Thank you for joining us on this podcast episode, make sure to like, subscribe to the channel and make sure notifications are on so you are aware of the next videos that are published in order to help assist and get more information out to Veterans.

In this episode, we delve into the shadows of military service, revealing the compelling reasons why you might want to think twice before donning the uniform. Join me through the lesser-known aspects of military life, exploring themes that go far beyond the glossy recruitment brochures.
We tackle the issue of recognition. Despite the rhetoric of honor and valor, many servicemembers find themselves feeling overlooked and underappreciated. We shed light on the often-unspoken struggles of individuals who sacrifice so much yet receive so little in return.
